Claire Kershaw's journey into the world of Jiu-Jitsu began somewhat serendipitously 21 years ago when she enrolled her daughters in a class and decided to take the plunge herself. This unexpected foray into martial arts not only ignited a new passion but also marked the beginning of a significant chapter in her life. Following her marriage to Neville, Claire has not only remained steadfast in her Jiu-Jitsu practice but has also become his companion in numerous hiking adventures across various peaks, an activity she grew to appreciate over time.

Aside from her prowess on the mat and the hiking trails, Claire has a well-known affection for cats. Her compassionate nature often leads her to adopt stray cats, a trait that, while not always met with enthusiasm, underscores her generous spirit.

In addition to her commitment to Jiu-Jitsu and her love for animals, Claire plays a crucial role in the administrative aspects of their Jiu-Jitsu club. Her contributions ensure the smooth operation and organisation of the club, highlighting her multifaceted skills. Moreover, Claire's passion for martial arts extends into teaching, where she imparts her knowledge and experience to others, fostering a supportive and enriching environment for both new and seasoned practitioners.
