The Young Leader Award aims to help learners develop leadership skills such as organisation, communication and teamwork, as well as helping to build confidence and self-esteem as they take on the responsibility of leading their peers and younger children. This award is recognised in all schools and run by many themselves.

Places are on each course are limited and they open to any child between the appropriate age range not only children who attend Rushcroft Jiu-Jitsu Club; friends, relatives and other groups e.g. cubs and brownies are welcome.
